Martin paints landscapes in watercolours, pastels, oils and acrylics

Martin is a landscape artist who paints in a variety of mediums, including watercolour, soft pastel, oil and acrylics. His practice involves walking into place, sketching, painting, and writing about it. 
He is especially interested in the inter-relationship between wealth production, community, and the environment.  As well as having many post-industrial sites, Ayrshire also benefits from beautiful and apparently natural landscapes.  However, few of these could be said to be untouched by man, so he looks for these cultural traces in the landscape as he walks.
