Lorraine Johnston
Biography
Lorraine paints in acrylics, pencil and watercolours
Lorraine rediscovered her childhood love of art after losing her career in Health and Safety, shortly after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2008. With severe paraesthesia in both hands, she’s simply delighted when her attempts of ‘hares or horses’ are recognised as such! Some of these attempts are a success; others rely on her having her sense of humour intact, which she thankfully has in bucket loads.
Lorraine is an established children’s writer and will never aim to illustrate her own work, preferring to leave that to the professionals!
